We’ve played a bit of the newest Call of Duty: Black Ops Four Blackout Battle Royale lately (that’s a pretty long name, let’s call it COD:BLOPS:IV:BOBR for short). So, how does it compare to PUBG? Well, apart from having superior acronym, there are a few key differences. Even though they both share realistic military art style, COD:BLOPS:IV:BOBR’s gameplay is much more similiar to Fortnite in it’s arcade feeling. Guns have almost no recoil, reloads are lighting quick, you can’t lean, vehicles are almost imposible to flip and bullets travel so fast that even with long range sniper rifles you don’t have to lead the shot too much. While i prefer the more ARMA like tactical sim gameplay of PUBG, i have nothing against dynamic twitch shooters, i just think they’re more fun in modes like deathmatch, CTF, etc. Anything where you kill quickly and respawn quickly. But i must admit that perks and gadgets are fun. Flying with grappling hook, enhancing your hearing, setting up mines are all very satisfying when you use them and very annoying when used against you. Overall, this game offers a nice change of pace, but i quickly grew tired of it and got back to PUBG.
